Mary Rossing is a visual artist living and working in Spooner, Wisconsin. Her work reflects personal experiences as she moves through, plays, and engages with her north-woods surroundings.  Using shape, color, texture and gesture, her vivid mixed media paintings are inspired by both observation and felt experience.  Layers of paint, collage, graphite, crayons, and ink portray abstract elements that speaks to deeper themes of connection, longing, melancholy, joy and hope.  "It is my intention that the viewer will consider their own memories, experiences, and stories in the layers that are both seen and unseen."
